The Thomas Joseph Franzese Foundation held it’s 3rd Annual Fundraiser on Oct. 3rd at Arcola Country Club in Paramus ,NJ. We are so very grateful to those who were able to join us, but also to those who could not because ALL of your donations were so very generous! We would like to thank our speakers, which included Val Kologrivov, a representative from the office of Josh Gottheimer, NJ Congressional Rep., who presented our Foundation with a very special Proclamation written by the Congressman himself. Also, Cathy Davey, V,P, Institutional Advancement Ramapo College of NJ & Exec. Dir., of the Ramapo College Foundation, who spoke about the the program our foundation is now partnered with, The Roadrunner Collegiate Recovery Program. This program is offering a “Sober-Living” facility for students on campus in recovery from addiction and/or alcoholism and we offer support to these individuals through scholarships to participate in the program. But perhaps the most important and moving speaker of the evening was Melvin Jovel, a sophomore at Ramapo College. He is the very first recipient of The TJFranzese Foundation scholarship and he is a beautiful & inspirational young man who clearly has gratitude in his heart! After listening to his story, we will all hold him in our hearts & prayers for success in all of his life. We will hold that same prayer for all the rest who participate in this program going forward!
